In March 2017, he was included in Pakistan's limited squad for the matches
against the West Indies. He made his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut for
Pakistan against the West Indies on 30 March 2017.
In April 2017, he was included in Pakistan's One Day International (ODI)
squad for the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. He made his ODI debut for Pakistan
against South Africa in the Champions Trophy on 7 June 2017, scoring 31 runs.
A left-handed batsman and an experienced left-arm slow bowler, his methods
are suited to the limited overs format. He had a fantastic run in the 2016
Pakistan Cup where he scored 297 runs in five matches, including two fifties
and a century. Thus, he finished second in scoring behind Ahmed Shehzad. His
115 in the final helped his team Khyber Pakhtunkhwa win the title.
